At what point do we perceive a thing, such as a chair, becoming a representation of itself? Is it dependent on the material the chair is made of, whether it functions, the production method (unica or mass-produced), the way it is exhibited (on a pedestal or on the floor next to the pedestal)...?

By blurring the conventions between what we perceive as ‘real’ (i.e. a chair to sit on) and as ‘represented’ (i.e. a sculpture of a chair), this project investigates the turning points where an idea becomes a thing (and vice-versa).
